Three policemen killed by Naxalites in Dantewada

The Naxalites strike again in Dantewada by gunning down three police personnel, police said.
       
"The Naxalites gunned down the three policemen from the jurisdiction of Golapalli police station in Dantewada district, this evening," police superintendent RK Vij told PTI.
       
"The policemen who were deployed in the busy market area were attacked by the armed Naxalites in which the three policemen were killed," Vij said.
       
It maybe recalled that on April 6, in a bloodiest ambush by rebels from the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in Dantewada district, 76 CRPF policemen were killed.
       
The Naxalites fled after the incident, police said, adding, they might have escaped in the forest as Golapalli is bordering Andhra Prades and surrounded with thick forest.
       
A manhunt has been launched by top police officials who reached the site on hearing the incident, police said.
