Three killed as tractor falls into river in Uttar Pradesh

The incident occurred late last night at Leherpur tehsil in Sitapur when the tractor trolley carrying a marriage party skidded off the road and plunged into Ghaghra river.

Three people were killed and two others went missing when a tractor trolley in which they were travelling fell into Ghaghra river here, police said today.

The incident occurred late last night at Leherpur tehsil in Sitapur, about 90 km from Lucknow, when the tractor trolley carrying a marriage party skidded off the road and plunged into Ghaghra river, they said.

Three bodies were fished out from the river, while two children were yet to be traced, police said, adding that the rest of the marriage party members swam to safety.
