Three killed, 23 injured in multiple collision in Kerala

Three persons, including a woman were killed and 23 injured when a private omni bus was involved in a multiple collision with three other vehicles at a diversion about 70km from Tiruchirappalli on the Chennai-Tiruchirapalli National highway early today.

The bus was proceeding to Karaikudi from Chennai when the mishap occurred, police said.

A man and a woman sitting in a private bus parked near a tea shop were killed when the omni bus rammed into it and two other vehicles. Another of the deceased was in the van.

Twenty three injured occupants of the van, a car and the bus have been hospitalised.

The omni bus driver has been arrested.
