Three die of sunstroke in Andhra Pradesh

Temperature in Hyderabad city dropped to 43 degree Celsius from yesterday's 45 degree. However severe heatwave conditions continued in different districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Three persons lost their lives today in Mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh due to sunstroke even as various parts of the state continued to reel under scorching heat with the mercury level hovering between 40 and 46 degrees Celsius for the fourth consecutive day.
    
"Three labourers died due to sunstroke in Hanwada mandal today. They went to work and died in sleep while taking rest after the work. The temperature across Mahabubnagar district was in the range of 44-45 degrees Celsius," district collector Purshotam Reddy told PTI over phone.

According to Met officials here, Nizamabad district recorded highest temperature of 46.4 degree Celsius, followed by Kadapa 44, Kurnool and Anantapur 43 each and Gannavaram 40.
      
The met office has said the temperature may hover between 42 and 44 degrees for the next one week in the state capital.
       
The heatwave conditions may continue to prevail over Telangana and in the districts of Kadapa and Chittoor of Rayalseema and isolated parts of coastal regions during next two days, according to met department.
