Two unidentified man fled with a youth's bike after a minor accident near Vyaswadi.

Mukesh Vaghela, 25, a taxi driver and resident of Bhagvatinagar in Gota, was on his way to RTO to renew his licence on January 27.

He was accompanied by his cousin Mahendra, 15, on their Bajaj Platina bike. At 4:30pm, they were near Vyaswadi in Naranpura, where their bike touched a TVS Apache bike, causing minor damage to it. Angered by the accident, the two persons on the bike demanded Rs10,000 from Vaghela for repair work. To recover the money, one of them stood near Vaghela's bike with Mahendra, while the other man asked him to accompany him on their Apache bike to get the money. They also took the keys of Vaghela's bike and threatened him with dire consequences if he did not pay them.

Vaghela obeyed them and sat on the bike. After roaming around for more than 10 km, Vaghela was asked to get off near Nirnaynagar. "He told me to collect my bike from the spot, and fled from the spot. When I reached there, the other man was gone with my bike," claimed Vaghela in his complaint to Naranpura police.

However, Vaghela had not noted done the number of the Apache bike. According to Naranpura police, this could be the work of a gang that intentionally causes an accident and then robs the victims.
