Month later, no clue of Kartik

It is more than a month but 17-year-old Kartik Rajendran is yet to be found.  The Class XI student of a Maninagar school did not return home after he went to Vastrapur to attend his tuition classes on January 27.

Rajendran Ramanujan, Kartik's father, filed a complaint with Khokhra police on January 28. But the police have not made any headway in the case.

Now, Ramanujan has got 20,000 posters printed with Kartik's photo and a message that reads: "Kartik, we love you, we miss you, come home, your mother is not keeping well." The poster also carries the contact numbers.

Ramanujan, who is a software engineer, has left his job to find his son. He  has been urging people to help him find his son.

Meanwhile, some auto-rickshaw drivers have pasted the posters on their vehicles and have not charged a penny for it from the family.  The auto drivers are also helping the family in reaching out to people with the news about missing Kartik.

The family has also posted the news about the boy on Facebook.
Ramanujan says he has till now spent Rs1,00,000 on his efforts to look for Kartik. According to him, the police help has not been noteworthy.

He is struggling to find his son with the support of his family, friends, charitable organisations, and Kartik's friends. And to keep the search going, Ramanujan has also borrowed money from people.

Dhruvi's aunt arrested

"My brother committed suicide because of Dhruvi's family and to avenge them I killed her near the river bank in Gandhinagar."

These are the words of 20-year-old Dolly Jaiswal, who confessed to killing her first cousin's daughter Dhruvi Jaiswal.

Dahegaam was closed for a day in protest against the murder.

Dolly, a third year science student in Girls College at Talod, was nabbed by the police based on the sketch made by their colleagues. It was revealed that Dolly wanted to take revenge on Dhruvi's family, as they intervened in her family matters which resulted in her brother's suicide.

A small family matter thus resulted in the deaths of two family members. According to police sources, Arvind and Sandip Jaiswal are brothers. Dhruvi was Sandip's daughter while Arvind has two children -- Chirag and Dolly. "Sandip and his family cautioned Arvind's family several times about some illegal activities of Chirag due to which the latter allegedly committed suicide," police sources said.

After Chirag's death, Dolly decided to take revenge on Sandip's family. "She kidnapped Dhruvi from her school on February 29, 2012, took her at the Khari river bank, strangulated her and tried to burn her dead body," police sources said. However, the police ruled out any probability of either rape or involvement of any other person in the case. Sources also said that the area is infamous as 'lover's point' and some beer cans were also found in the area, but this has no connection to the Dhruvi murder case.
