Ten students of same class get swine flu

With this, the number of students affected by the virus has risen to 10, all from the standard VIII Lotus division. The school has declared a holiday till Tuesday for the section.

Three more students of the Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School in Pune tested positive for the H1N1 virus on Saturday. With this, the number of students affected by the virus has risen to 10, all from the standard VIII Lotus division. The school has declared a holiday till Tuesday for the section.

The state health department’s swine flu control head Dr Pradeep Awate told DNA, “So far 21 positive cases have been detected in Pune.”

“Those with positive symptoms have been given Tamiflu tablets for ten days and we have urged them to stop socialising,” said Dr RR Pardeshi, chief health officer of the PMC.
