Telangana turmoil: Fresh round of violence erupts in Hyderabad

Police fired at least 20 rounds of tear gas shells to disperse a stone-pelting mob near a flyover adjacent to Osmania University campus here this evening.
    
The fresh round of violence erupted in Tarnaka area after city police successfully foiled the attempt of the students to lay a siege to Andhra Pradesh Assembly in support their demand for a separate Telangana state.

Students indulged in heavy stone-pelting at police raising slogans "police go back".
    
Five persons reportedly sustained injuries in the stone-pelting but there was no official confirmation of this.
