The police and university officials managed to take the Union minister out of the meeting hall safely. Additional forces were called in to control the situation.

Students of Hyderabad Central University tried to disrupt the meeting of all central university vice chancellors, chaired by the union HRD minister Kapil Sibal in Hyderabad today.
They raised slogans against the Congress party and demanded the formation of a Telangana state.
Police managed to prevent the students from entering the Tagore International House where the meeting was being held.
The police and university officials managed to take the union minister out of the meeting hall safely.
Additional forces were called in to control the situation.
