ShareMuzaffarnagar: A teenaged Dalit girl was allegedly burnt alive after she resisted a rape attempt by two youths at a village in Muzaffarnagar district in Western Uttar Pradesh, police said on Saturday.
According to the complaint filed by the victim's father, the girl, 15-year-old Pinki, was abducted yesterday by three persons, including a woman, from Kachchi Ghahri village.
The youths tried to rape her, failing which they set her on fire, he said in the complaint.
Pinki suffered severe burns and died on the way to a hospital, police said. All the three suspects involved in the case have been taken into custody.
