The two teachers gave the child corporal punishment for urinating in school bed.
A teacher is the human face of sincerity, humanity, and patience. But when this face contorts with cruelty, not only the fraternity, but human race is put to shame. Such is the story of 5-year-old Vishal, a tale that will give you goosebumps. Showing no mercy towards a the little student, two teachers of a boarding school have allegedly tortured him by literally branding him with a hot metal rod, on the back of his thighs and legs. Reason? The child urinated on his hostel bed at night.
In his complaint to Ranip police on Friday, father of the kid, Ganesh Parmar alleged that two teachers of NK Ashram Shala have beaten up his 5-year-old son Vishal, and tortured him by branding him on his thighs. The whole matter surfaced when the principal of the school asked Parmar to take Vishal and his sister home, as the two had fallen ill for the past few days.
Parmar, a resident of Bhumi Park in Bapunagar, works in a diamond polishing unit. He has 2 daughters and one son. Asmita, 7, and Vishal, 5, study in NK Ashram Shala, on Radhaswamy road near RTO in Ranip.
It is a boarding school with its own hostel facility for students of economically backward families. Asmita studies in the Class 2, while Vishal studies in Class 1. Both brother and sister stay in the school hostel.
According to Parmar, the school principal called him at 9:30am on Thursday and asked him to take his children home. Parmar asked his wife Bharti to bring the kids home from school. When Parmar reached home at 8:30pm, Vishal showed him the burnt-marks on his thighs and legs.
Speaking to DNA, Parmar said, “When my wife brought him back from the hostel, we realised that he was beaten up badly. When we inquired, my son told me that two teachers, Anilbhai and Jaikarbhai, beat him up because he urinated in his bed at night.
He complained that Anilbhai beat him with a hot iron rod and when he vomited, another teacher Jaikarbhai beat him with a stick.”
However, despite repeated attempts, DNA could not contact the school principal for his comments.
