India will discuss Mumbai 13/7 with US secretary of state Hillary Clinton who will be here July 18-21 for the second edition of the Indo-US Strategic Dialogue, government sources said on Friday.

US has also offered assistance in investigating the serial blasts. When asked if India would seek assistance from the US, official sources said, there was already robust cooperation between the two countries after the 26/11 attacks, especially in the areas of threat assessment and intelligence sharing.

India would also be discussing the issue of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), its 2008 clean waiver to India and its ban on ENR transfers to non-NPT countries this year, which sources said is a “very important issue” in Indo-US bilateral cooperation. “Both countries are bound by commitments to each other,” a source said.

He added that the US is making a “very significant contribution” to its nuclear deal commitment of getting India entry into the four international nuclear non-proliferation regimes, including the NSG, Wassenaar Arrangement, Australia Group and Zangger Committee.

The sources said security issues would include the situation in Afghanistan, Pakistan and the regional security scenario.
