A 13-year-old boy has been quarantined for suspected swine flu and admitted to the SSG hospital here on Saturday. The boy who had returned from the USA was in bad health throughout his journey. He was admitted to special ward of the SSG hospital.

The VMC authorities have instructed his parents not to leave their house to avoid any sort of contamination.

The primary symptoms showed the possibility of swine flu, after which the patient was taken to SSG hospital from the airport in the noon. The case created a flutter in the hospital and doctors and officials were seen taking precautions by tying masks.

According to a health official the blood and saliva sample of the boy has been sent to New Delhi for further investigations. The reports will reveal the cause of the sickness. The city health authorities have given necessary instructions to the relatives of the patient.
