Student stabbed by classmate in Uttar Pradesh

A 13-year-old boy was stabbed by his fellow student in a classroom after a quarrel in Muradnager town.

Monti, a student of class eight, was admitted to a hospital in a critical situation after the incident in Shanti Niketan Public School in Muradnagar, 20 km from Ghaziabad, police said today.

Monti had a scuffle with his classmate Sarfarz yesterday morning over some issue. Hours later, when the teacher left the classroom in the last period, Sarfarz stabbed Monti, Superintendent of Police Raghbir Lal said.

The victim's family has registered a complaint with the police. The school management has suspended Sarfaraz.
