Student's body found floating in school well in Salem

The body of a class X student of SSRM Metric Higher Secondary School, Karippur, in Salem, Tamil Nadu, was found floating in the school well yesterday.

Police said 15-year-old Elanga's naked body was found floating in the school well last evening. Police and fire and service rescue officers fished out the body by midnight and took it for a postmortem.

Meanwhile, demanding action against the school management, citizens staged a road roko here and traffic was interrupted for three hours, they said, adding that investigations were on.
