Panic gripped students and Diwan Ballubhai School (Kankaria) authorities following the death of a Class 7 student on Tuesday afternoon. Urvi Hareshkumar Satwara, a resident of Khokhra, died during school hours in the school premises.

Urvi had gone out of her class to drink water after her second lecture at around 2 pm and was later found lying on the ground near the water cooler. She was instantly rushed to LG Hospital where she was declared brought dead. As soon as the news spread, her parents and relatives rushed to the hospital.

The body was then taken to Civil Hospital for post-mortem to establish the cause of sudden death.  A close friend of the Satwaras, Dinesh bhai, stated that the girl was suffering from fits for a long time. "She was even admitted to hospital twice due to this.

This, probably, seems to be the reason behind her sudden death as no one was around her to help during that time. But still, we are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the cause."

Kagdapith police have officially registered a case of accidental death, but they too await the post-mortem report to know the appropriate reason for death. When school officials and Urvi's parents were contacted, they refused to comment.
