Sonia Gandhi to visit Puducherry during first week of August

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will visit Puducherry during the first week of August to declare open the Rs 38 crore women and child hospital run by the territorial government at Ellaipillaichavady near here.

Union minister of state for planning and parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy said here yesterday that the exact date of her visit would announced soon.

The AICC president would also inaugurate a housing complex to rehabilitate tsunami hit fishermen families of Kalapet village, he said.
