Sohrabuddin case: Amit Shah hospitalised

He was sent to the hospital by the doctors in Sabarmati Jail after he developed multiple complications including high blood pressure and diabetes.

Amit Shah, former minister who was arrested in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, was admitted to the Civil Hospital on Monday evening.

He was sent to the hospital by the doctors in Sabarmati Jail after he developed multiple complications including high blood pressure and diabetes.

Shah was arrested last month and has been lodged in the Sabarmati Jail for the last 40 days. His bail application is pending before the special CBI court.

According to hospital sources, Shah was also suffering from mosquito bites. When his health deteriorated, he was advised by the jail doctors to take further treatment at the Civil Hospital, where he is admitted in G6 ward.

Strict police bandobast has been made outside the ward.
