Cops have launched a manhunt for Prabhatsinh Waghela, the man who killed Chhagan Rana, a peon of the Punjab national Bank in broad daylight in front of the MJ library. Investigators told DNA that Vaghela has not moved out of the state.

Police inspector of Ellisbridge police station, Kaushik Pandya said, "We will soon nab Vaghela as his identity has been confirmed." Officials said that Vghela had not left the state in all likelihood and he could be nabbed within a short period of time.

The identity of Waghela was confirmed after police personnel found two mobile phones from Rana's back pocket. One of the mobile phones was not his. This mobile phone led the police to the killer who had accidentally dropped his phone after calling Rana to the spot.

According to case details, Vaghela had an illicit affair with Rana's sister-in-law. Rana who got to know about this started blackmailing his sister-in-law after which Vaghela conspired to kill Rana. Vaghela went absconding soon after the incident. The killing of Rana had confused cops to a large extent as eye witnesses were unwilling to speak out.
