Six policemen have been suspended on the charge of corruption and probe ordered into their act of illegal collection of money from citizens.

Six policemen have been suspended on the charge of corruption and probe ordered into their act of illegal collection of money from citizens.

The policemen suspended are posted at different police stations of the district, a statement issued by the office of deputy inspector general of police here said today.

Probe has been ordered against them and based on the report stern action would be initiated, the statement added.

A list of policemen involved in corruption and illegal collection of money from citizens is being prepared, it said adding axe would fall on more men in khaki.
