Six injured in stone pelting on train in Jaunpur

At least six passengers were injured today when some unidentified youths allegedly hurled stones on Howrah-bound Doon Express near Malipur railway station here, police said.

The incident occurred after some passengers objected when the youths, who boarded the train at Akbarpur station, forcibly attempted to occupy seats in a reserved coach, they said.

The passengers alleged that while attempting to grab the seats the youths also misbehaved with some girls. The youths then stopped the train by pulling chain and threw stones.
