Shivraj Singh Chouhan, wife take part in procession in Ujjain

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh took part in the four kilometre procession in the city after offering prayers at the Mahakaal temple here.

The procession in which Shivraj and Sadhna walked barefoot yesterday began at 4 pm and passed through several areas including Gudri and Kaharwadi before reaching Ramghat.

The procession locally known as Sawari also passed through Gangor Gate, Dhaba Road, Chhatri Chowk and Patni Bazar before ending at the Mahakaal temple at 7 pm.

The Sawari was taken out on the third Monday of the Shrawan month. During the procession chief minister and his wife sang Bhajans along with other devotees.
