SDM suspended in Rajasthan after misbehaviour with women

A senior state government officer has been suspended from service after an enquiry established that he had misbehaved with some women who were protesting over irregular water supply, officials said today.

District collector Kuldeep Ranka ordered the suspension of Mahaveer Singh, serving as SDM Virat Nagar, 85km from here, yesterday after an enquiry revealed that he misbehaved with local women few days back while they were protesting.

These women, along with some senior citizens, had met divisional commissioner Kiran Soni Gupta this week and complained against the officer.
