SBI's branch manager abducted in Jharkhand

Unidentified miscreants have abducted the branch manager of a nationalised bank in Garhwa district, the police said today.

Vijay Kumar Sharma, the manager of the State Bank of India's Ramna branch, was returning home from Ramna to Garhwa on a motorcycle when the miscreants abducted him last evening, the police said here.

Pillion rider Satish Kumar, the marketing officer, however, managed to escape from the clutches of the kidnappers.

The police have launched raids to trace Sharma.
