Launching a scathing attack on Mulayam Singh Yadav, expelled leader Amar Singh today said Samajwadi Party was more a "Yadav Mahasabha" than a political party.

"Till now I was in a party where other than myself and Janeshwar Mishra, only Azam Khan occupied key position (among non-Yadavs). Rest of the posts were held only by Yadavs, turning the party into a Yadav Mahasabha," Amar said at a function during Chattriya Chetna Rath Yatra.

On his expulsion from the party he said, "I didn't leave Mulayam, it was Mulayam who left me." Daring the SP supremo, Amar said "if he (Mulayam) has the courage, he should announce to make any backward or Muslim as the chief minister (if the party comes to power)".

Terming Kalyan Singh's entry into the party fold before the Lok Sabha elections as a conspiracy, he said, "It was only a drama to win elections with the support of Lodh votes and it ended once the polls were over. I was piqued with the situation."
