With the arrival of monsoon, many brands are offering discounts and sale. Citizens are lapping it up.
Monsoon might have taken its time to keep its date with the city, but not the sales season, which seems to have hit the city bang on time. And it's raining discounts.
Right from big brands to the small shop down your lane, everybody is offering discounts. And, there is something for everyone. "Festive seasons always attract huge crowd for shopping, but in a slack season like monsoon a boost is required to push up the sales," said Kamlesh Modi, managing director, Himalaya Mall.
Explaining that it has become a trend, Jatin Gupta, MD, JP Iscon Ltd said, "Even customers await discounts these days. With conversion of footfalls into sales taking place to the tune of 40% and above during the sales season, the brands are able to fulfil their targets."
Shopaholics can treat themselves to some good shopping this weekend. "Hearing of sales brings me in the mood to shop. I have already visited quite a few places in the city and usually make it a point to visit in the initial days of a sale as I get a wider choice," said a city-based student, Devika Kumar.
If you are a brand freak, take a round of places like Nike, Provogue and Pepe. While Nike is giving a discount of up to 40% on apparel and footwear, at Pepe Jeans you can shop at up to 60% discount.
Provogue and Louis Philippe have come up with an attractive offer of buy two and get one free. Hunting for formals? Visit Arrow and get flat 30% off. Woodland is there to lure you with flat 40% on apparel and up to 50% on shoes. Reebok is offering flat 40% off.
At Cotton County get a flat 80% off on men's and women's wear. Westside and Pantaloons are also offering discounts of up to 60% and 50%. But, it is not only western clothes that are attracting discounts; Deepkala is making an offer of up to 40% off on ethnic wear, designer sarees, bridal ensemble, cholis and more.
Another known brand of Ahmedabad, Asopalav is to start its yearly sale soon. And, you can flaunt new footwear by shopping at Metro Shoes and availing a flat 50% discount.
