Sabarmati jailer files FIR against NK Amin

IK Sonar, jailer of Sabarmati Jail, lodged an FIR against NK Amin on Friday for illegally smuggling a voice recorder on the jail premises, between February and March 24, 2008.

It has been stated in the report that Amin violated the jail manual by sneaking in the voice recorder. The FIR stated that bringing electronic instrument on jail premises is prohibited.

The case is related to a sting operation that Amin reportedly conducted on police inspector NV Chauhan.

The operation revealed Chauhan saying that Sohrabuddin and his wife were in illegal custody of police. The transcript also claimed that jailed senior cop DG Vanzara had given instruction to eliminate Kauserbi, wife of Sohrabuddin.

According to sources, Amin, who is currently lodged in Baroda jail, will be grilled by Sabarmati police in connection with the case.
