RSS activist dies in a freak gunshot in Bhopal

A RSS activist today died after the gun he was cleaning went off accidentally during the Shastra (weapon) Puja here, police said. The deceased has been identified as Naresh Motwani (50), additional superintendent of Police Ruchi Shrivastava told PTI.

The Rashtriya Swayamksevak Sangh (RSS) member was supposed to take part in the 'path sanchalan' (parade) of the sangh later. 

Shrivastava said initial investigation reveal that while Motwani was cleaning the gun it went off "accidentally" around 10.30 am at Saraswati Vidhya Mandir under Kotra-Sultanabad locality. He died on the spot, she said. Further investigations were under way the ASP said.
