The senior Gujjar leader said people who have reaped the benefits of reservations should be excluded and deserving communities should be added.

Suggesting a change in the current reservation system, senior Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla today said a new policy should be worked out to benefit the deserving people.
"The reservation policy should be reviewed. People who have reaped its benefits should be excluded from it. Deserving ones should be included in it," Rajasthan Gujjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti Convenor Bainsla told reporters here.
The duration of reservation on the old formula is being extended, he said, adding it was time for a national debate on it.
"Let people demanding reservation on caste lines for a long time get its benefit," the 70-year-old leader said when asked whether reservations should be based on economic factors.
