Rajasthan govt revokes suspension of BJP MLA

After the address of Governor Shivraj Patil on the first day of the Budget session, BJP whip Rajendra Rathore requested the government to propose the revocation.

The suspension of BJP MLA Bhawani Singh Rajawat from the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly was revoked on Monday.

After the address of Governor Shivraj Patil on the first day of the Budget session, BJP whip Rajendra Rathore requested the government to propose the revocation.

Government chief whip Raghu Sharma moved the proposal for the same which was passed by the House and the suspension of the MLA was revoked.

Rajawat was suspended for one year from the House on August 29, 2010 after he was found guilty of hurling a footwear towards Congress members following a heated exchange with ruling party legislators during the monsoon session.

Leader of opposition Vasundhara Raje and BJP whip Rathore had met Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot yesterday demanding revocation of the suspension.
