Punjab smuggler held with poppy in Jammu and Kashmir

Police has arrested a narcotics smuggler and recovered 18 kg of poppy from his possession on Jammu-Srinagar national highway, police said.
 
On a tip off, police intercepted a car, on its way from Kashmir to Punjab, and recovered 18 kg of poppy from Gurpreet Singh, a citizen of Punjab, on the highway at Jajjar Kotli area in Jammu district, 40 km from here, they said.
 
Singh was later arrested and a case has been registered in this regard, they said.
