Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal will expand the state cabinet tomorrow, by inducting a SAD legislator into the ministry.

With the expansion, the strength of the 32-month-old cabinet of SAD-BJP alliance would rise to 18, an official spokesman said.

Sewa Singh Sekhwan, MLA, will be sworn in at a function in the Raj Bhawan here and he is likely to be made the co-operaion minister.

Sekhwan had won the by-election to the Kahnuwan assembly constituency in August when the ruling SAD had won three by-elections -- the other two being from Jalalabad and Banur which were won by party President Sukhbir Singh Badal and Jasjit Singh Bunny respectively. Sukhbir was sworn in as deputy chief minister in August itself.

The Cooperation ministry was earlier under Kanwaljit Singh, who died in a road accident.
