Police shoots gangster Prabhakar in Andhra Pradesh

Dreaded gangster T Prabhakar, who was on a stabbing spree near the railway bridge, was grievously wounded when police fired at him in the outskirts of Tadepalli town in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, police said today.
    
Prabhakar, known for his cruelty, attacked as many as 20 passersby and robbed them at knife point last night. Some of the bleeding vecitims, complained to the Tadepalli police. The sub-inspector of police T Raja Sekhara Reddy rushed there, opened four rounds of fire and two bullets hit the rowdy. He was rushed to the nearby Manipal General Hospital. He is out of danger, the doctors said.
    
Meanwhile, the wounded SI is undergoing treatement in the NRI general Hospital, near Mangalagiri town. Superintndent of police SB Bagchi commended the sub-Inspector and said he will be suitably rewarded.
