Police files case against lawyer, builder for farmer's suicide

Police have registered offences against a lawyer and the builder for allegedly instigating a farmer to commit suicide, police said today.

The victim Balu Gopal Padagale, resident of village Sarul in the district had committed suicide recently by hanging himself to death from a tree. He had left a note stating that he is ending his life following harassment from the lawyer and the builder.

Family members of the farmer and villagers complained to the Vadivhare police about the incident on which police registered offences against the duo yesterday, they added.
