Eleven Air India flights from here were cancelled as pilots in Chennai today resumed their agitation over cut in perks and full payment of the due allowances.

The pilots had called off their strike yesterday after the government decided to form a committee to look into their demands, including restoring Productivity Linked Incentives (PLI), but resumed it today as talks with the management failed to break the deadlock.

"Executive pilots have not reported for duty today as they are on sick leave," officials of the cash-strapped national carrier told PTI. Eleven flights to various destinations, including Singapore, Colombo, Delhi and Hyderabad were cancelled today, officials added.
