Former chief minister of Gujarat, Keshubhai Patel, on Sunday, claimed that state was in a grip of fear.
Speaking in Surat, Patel said that while CM Narendra Modi keeps harping on Sadbhavana in the state, nobody has felt it at the ground level in last 10 years. Patidars are constantly living in fear because of his administration. He termed entire mission as a political gimmick.
“Our members (Patidars) are living in fear as current government is not with them. Patidars are facing the heat of Modi and they are not being given due importance,” Patel said.
Patel was in Surat to attend 53rd Samuh Lagnotsav (mass marriage ceremony) organised by Saurashtra Patel Samaj at Laskana village. Seventy couples tied the knot in the programme.
All top leaders of Patidar community were present in the function.
