Orissa governor and chief minister condole Sai Baba's death

Orissa Governor MC Bhandare and chief minister Naveen Patnaik today expressed grief over the death of Sathya Sai Baba saying his message of love and compassion guided millions worldwide.

"His (Baba's) divine grace and presence influenced millions and his message of love, truth and compassion guided millions worldwide," governor Bhandare said in his message.

Stating that Sai Baba's message would continue to guide mankind in the years to come, Bhandare said Sathya Sai's philanthropic contribution made him a unique spiritual guru who translated words into action.

In his message, chief minister Naveen Patnaik said Baba showed the path of spiritual awakening and inspired people through his service to the poor and distressed.

The path shown by Baba would continue to guide mankind, Patnaik said.
