Opposition walkout during budget presentation in Tamil Nadu

Opposition AIADMK members today walked out during the presentation of the Tamil Nadu budget, alleging that their leader Jayalalithaa was not "properly invited" for the inauguration of the new Legislative Assembly on March 13.

The MLAs, clad in black, were led by party's Deputy Legislature Leader O Panneerselvam, also criticised the state goverment on the Mullaperiyar issue and price rise situation.

However, speaker R Avudiayappan denied AIADMK's charge and said she was invited as per government protocol, but had
chosen not to turn up.
