One injured in grenade attack near Srinagar

Unidentified militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF bunker near State Bank of India branch in the town, 55km from Srinagar, around noon. It, however, exploded on the road injuring a civilian.

A civilian was today injured in a grenade explosion by militants in Sopore town of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Unidentified militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF bunker near State Bank of India branch in the town, 55km from Srinagar,
around noon. It, however, exploded on the road injuring a civilian.

The injured was taken to hospital, they said, adding security forces and police immediately cordoned off the area.
