One dies in road mishap in Orissa

A cyclist was killed on the spot when a speeding truck knocked him along the S.H-10 near Rajgangpur, 45 km from ehre this morning.

Police said the victim was identified as Baljoshi Khalko, an employee of Orissa Cement Limited (OCL), of Rajgangpur. Khalko was on the way to report his morning shift duty when the mishap occurred.

The irate public blocked the road for nearly four hours from this morning demanding financial compensation and employment to one of the dependent of his family.

The road block was lifted only after senior police and district official reached the spot and assured them of meeting their demand.
