One arrested for hoax call of bomb blast at Jama Masjid

Police today arrested one person for allegedly making a hoax call claiming there would be a bomb blast in Jama Masjid.
    
Chatur Singh (25), a resident of Inder Lok in Delhi, was arrested for making the hoax call from a mobile which he had allegedly stolen.
    
On June 8, police received a call that there will be a bomb blast in Jama Masjid within half an hour, police said, adding that the historic mosque was checked thoroughly but no suspicious article was recovered.
    
Technical Surveillance was mounted and it was found that the mobile phone used by the caller had been stolen from one Rajesh. On further investigation, it was learnt that the calls have been made from the area of a slum cluster in Inder Lok area, police said.
    
Based on the information, police arrested Singh and during interrogation, he disclosed that he along with his accomplices used to steal mobile phones from different areas and used these stolen phones for their personal use before disposing them.
    
"He had made the call of bomb in Jama Masjid to have fun and to create nuisance for police," police said.
