Omar Abdullah prays to Sufi Saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti for peace

Omar told the media after 'jiyarat' that he came to the Dargah only to pray to Garib Nawaj for peace in the Valley.

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, accompanied by his family and father Farooq Abdullah, today offered prayers at the shrine of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti for peace in Kashmir Valley. 

He offered 'chadar' to the tomb of Garib Nawaj and read the 'fateha'.

Omar told the media after 'jiyarat' that he came to the Dargah only to pray to Garib Nawaj for peace in the Valley.

The state government is trying its best for maintain law and order peace, Omar said and added that he was sure that youth of the Valley who had gone astray would return to the mainstream.

He tied "Mannat Ka Dhaga" on the "Jannti darwaja" of Dargah for peace in Kashmir Valley.

The Anjuman Committee honoured Omar, his wife and other family members as also Farooq.

Khadim Fakhre Moin did 'Dastarbandi' (presenting headgear to Omar and his family members) and offered 'Tabarruk' (eatables in the form of sweet or water).
