NV Vasani chairman of GEDC’s India Chapter

Initiated under the aegis of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), the India Chapter of Global Engineering Dean’s Council (GEDC) will be inaugurated during the 39th ISTE National Convention to be held at the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka, on December 18.

NV Vasani, eminent educationist and administrator, who is presently the director general of Nirma University, has been nominated as the first chairman of GEDC’s India Chapter. With his background and experience, he will head the Chapter to influence and transform education of Indian engineers through this initiative of ISTE.

The Washington-based GEDC is committed to create a worldwide forum for exchange of ideas and implementation of strategies to deliver locally-pertinent and globally-relevant education in India.
