Now get info from Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority in 24 hours

The next time you want to procure a zoning certificate or a measuring sheet for your property from the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda), you won't need to wait for a week. If officials at Auda are to be believed, the civic body has initiated a practice of providing information within 24 hours, if the application is received before 12 pm.

Earlier, it took a couple of days to get information from the Auda, says an official. The announcement of swift service was made by Auda chairman Dharmendra Shah who completed 100 days of his chairmanship. Documents that you will be able to procure in one day are the Development Plan (part plan), Town Planning (part plan), zoning certificate, measuring sheet, form F and maps.

"We had received some complaints regarding delays in getting information from Auda. We decided to make the process of getting details easier and faster. We have also decided to start a single window system at the civic centre," said Shah.

Shah said one of his main priorities right now is to curb the menace of sub-tenants in housing developed by the Auda for the urban poor. He said they have learnt that certain owners of the EWS housing for the poor have rented out their homes or even sold them off.
