No respite from simmering heat for Delhiites

Delhiites had no relief from simmering heat today with the mercury shooting to 39 degree Celsius, five notches above normal for this time of the year.
    
The highest temperature was a degree more than 38 degree Celsius recorded yesterday, the Met office said.
    
The low was recorded at 22 degree C, four degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 23.1 degree C yesterday.
   
The maximum humidity touched 56 per cent while the lowest humidity was recorded at 18%.
    
The denizens also experienced unusually hot days in the month of March this year. The mercury touched 39.2 degree Celsius on March 21, which was the second highest maximum temperature felt in this month in the past 65 years.
    
The weatherman had predicted a clear sky tomorrow, with the temperature expected to oscillate between 38 degree Celsius and 22 degree Celsius.
