A court here has fixed December 16 for pronouncement of verdict in the fifth case related to the gruesome Nithari killings which came to light in December 2006.
CBI Judge SK Lal will give his judgement on December 16 in the case of killing of 14-year-old Chhoti Payal, in which Surender Koli is the only accused.
CBI advocate J P Sharma said that it is the fifth case related to the Nithari killings in which businessman Moninder Singh Pandher and his domestic help Koli were arrested following discovery of human remains from a drain behind Pandher's house in Noida in the outskirts of Delhi.
The Supreme Court in February confirmed the death penalty awarded to Koli in the case related to rape and murder of 14-year-old Rimpa Haldar. Koli was sentenced to death along with Pandher by the Ghaziabad court on February 13, 2009, but later Allahabad high court acquitted Pandher.
A total of 16 cases were registered against Koli. The other cases which have been decided were related to the killing of Aarti (8), Rachna (15) and Deepali (12).
In his statement, Koli had described how he lured the girls and then strangulated them. He also confessed that he used to "have sex with bodies and would eat parts of human body after cooking them."
