Delhi Police has identified nearly 100 vital installations and markets in the national capital, including AIIMS and Delhi University, as "high risk" and has drawn up measures to guard them from terror attacks.

The list of high risk targets by Delhi Police Research Unit (DPRU)-- a dedicated wing for preparing security plans about city -- includes CGO complex, Delhi Government Secretariat, Rajiv Chowk Metro station and areas like Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk, and Greater Kailash besides some schools and certain five-star hotels, sources said.

"A detailed security audit was recently carried out by district police personnel in coordination with DPRU and Special Cell to analyse threat and grade hotels, malls, multiplexes, schools, colleges and other commercial and government installations," they said.

Police has graded the installations on three broad category -- high risk, medium risk and low risk.

"Those that fall under maximum (high) risk have been asked to ensure enhanced security cover," the sources said adding "local police has also been asked to provide round the clock security arrangements to such buildings."
