National Hydro Power Corporation driver caught selling diesel in Kishtwar

An employee of National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) has been arrested for alleged black marketing of diesel from the company in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said here today.    

Acting on a tip-off that some NHPC drivers were illegally selling diesel, police yesterday laid a trap and caught Abdul Karim Sheikh while selling diesel in Kishtwar district, about 230-kms from here.
   
Sheikh, a driver in the company, was selling the fuel from a NHPC bus which was under his charge, they said.
   
Police have recovered a 20-litre can filled with diesel and a drainage pipe from the driver on the spot. The vehicle was seized and the accused has been arrested.
   
A case has been registered under Section 409 Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) in Kishtwar police station, they added.
