"He will be freed from isolation on November 5. The doctors have observed zero symptoms of swine flu in his body. He has not had fever for last four days and cold and cough is almost gone. However, as a precautionary measure, doctors do not want to take any chance so he has been asked to be in isolation till November 5. Hopefully, he will join office either on November 5 or 6,'' said the sources.

Modi was diagnosed with swine flu late on October 29 night. According to medical experts, guidelines say a patient who is under medication can join his work after seven days from the day he/she has been quarantined. "But Modi is a very obedient patient and he understands what is the need of the hour,'' sources said.

"Since October 30, he has been strictly following the advices of the doctors. He himself is following isolation strictly. Only the doctors, his two peons - Dinesh and Badari - and his Maharaj (chef), his principal secretary K Kailashnathan, and his PRO Jagdishbhai Thakkar are allowed to meet him. Only on first two days, he had severe fever, cough and cold. From third day, he started improving,'' the sources said.

Last week, he had taken mainly light food like hhichdi, khahi, fruits and milk and had total bed rest. Over last three days, he has started talking on phones, watching TV, and reading newspapers, magazines and books.

"He talked to prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and senior BJP leader LK Advani, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, his close party friend Arun Jaitely, senior Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad, BJP president Rajnath Singh, leader of opposition in Gujarat Assembly Shaktisinh Gohil, few state BJP leaders and some close friends over the last three days,'' they said. The sources said one of Modi's servants is on medication and is taking Tamiflu because he was exposed to him while attending to him.

"Modi is a good human being and he has asked his team to make sure that neither any of his servants nor any other person who comes in his contact should suffer from health problems,'' they said. Only one of the doctors treating Modi is taking Tamiflu as he was exposed to flu scare while treating Modi.

During his illness, Modi has drawn prayers from all sections of society. People across the state arranged yagna and puja to wish him speedy recovery.
