Mob fury spills onto road over death of child in mishap in Varanasi

An irate mob set a tractor ablaze and blocked vehicular traffic for several hours after the killing of a five year old boy in a road mishap here today.   

SP City Vijay Bhushan said that Ramsaran Maurya was going to his school on a bicycle and the kids were also sitting on the bicycle.

When they were passing through Ramna, a tractor hit the bicycle after which Priyanshu fell on the road and came under the wheels of the tractor, Bhushan said.

The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem and a case registered against the driver and owner of the tractor, police said.
